Speaker bio
Brad Kolling
is a litigation attorney with Felhaber Larson. He practices in the areas of workers' compensation, employee benefits law, intervention and subrogation, labor and employment, alternative dispute resolutions, and railroad litigation, including FELA claims. Mr. Kolling is an experienced litigator in all aspects of litigation, including trials, administrative hearings and appeals. He is a qualified neutral and assists litigants in alternative dispute resolution, with a focus on workers' compensation mediation. Mr. Kolling is a qualified facilitative/hybrid neutral (mediation) pursuant to Rule 114 of the Minnesota Rules of General Practice for the District Courts; a qualified civil adjudicative/evaluative neutral (arbitrator) pursuant to Rule 114 of the Minnesota Rules of General Practice for the District Courts; and has received advanced training in the art of trial skills at the National Institute for Trial Advocacy (NITA) National Session Program. He is a member of the Anoka County, Hennepin County and the Minnesota State bar associations, and the Minnesota Defense Lawyers Association. Mr. Kolling earned his B.A. and B.S. degrees, cum laude, from the University of North Dakota and his J.D. degree, with distinction, from the University of North Dakota School of Law.

Brandy Johnson
is an Assistant Professor with Southern Illinois University Simmons Law School. She also serves as "Of Counsel" for Early & Miranda, P.C. Prior to joining the faculty as an Associate Law Professor in the Fall of 2023, Professor Johnson was an adjunct member of SIU School of Law's faculty and a senior partner at Early & Miranda, P.C. While she mainly specialized in Illinois and Missouri workers' compensation law and appellate advocacy, Professor Johnson also gained experience in premises liability, personal injury, products liability, as well as other areas of insurance defense over her 20 years of practice. Professor Johnson graduated from Southern Illinois University Carbondale in 2000 with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a minor in the Administration of Justice. Ms. Johnson received her Juris Doctorate, magnum cum laude, from Southern Illinois University School of Law in 2003. Mrs. Johnson was admitted to practice law in Illinois in 2003 and in Missouri in 2004. In 2017, she received an AV Preeminent rating from Martindale-Hubbell. Professor Johnson has published in the Journal of Legal Medicine, the Journal of Health Law, the Hematology Oncology Clinics of North America Health Law and Policy, the Encyclopedia of Women's Health, the Encyclopedia of Aging and Public Health, the Missouri Medical Law Report, the Encyclopedia of Immigrant Health, Public Risk Magazine, the HIV/AIDS Desk Reference for Mental Health Professionals, the Illinois State Bar Association's Diversity Matters newsletter, Forensic Epidemiology in the Global Context, Diversity, Cultural Humility, the Helping Professions, and Workers' Compensation Practice. She also serves on the board for the Illinois Chapter of the United Spinal Association.

T. Brian Tobin
is a member in the St. Louis law firm of Huck, Howe & Tobin, where he practices in the areas of workers' compensation and general litigation. He earned his B.A. degree from Indiana University and his J.D. degree from St. Louis University School of Law. Mr. Tobin frequently lectures on workers' compensation issues for National Business Institute. He is a member of The Missouri Bar (Workers' Compensation Committee). Mr. Tobin is licensed in Missouri and Illinois.
