Anne Hughes , ACP, FCP, is currently employed at the national defense litigation firm of Wilson, Elser, Moskowitz, Edelman & Dicker, LLP as a litigation and trial paralegal. Over the course of almost 25 years as a litigation paralegal, Ms. Hughes has worked in-house at State Farm as well as at smaller and mid‐size, boutique firms in the Central Florida area. She has experience in plaintiff personal injury, local government & municipal defense, medical malpractice defense, health law defense with some minor work in family, criminal and transactional law. During her career, Ms. Hughes has obtained a master's degree in Non-Profit Management, NALA's Advanced Certified Paralegal designation in discovery, the Florida Certified Paralegal designation from the Paralegal Association of Florida and has been recognized as a Florida Registered Paralegal with the Florida Bar Association. She spent much of her career as a volunteer in the local paralegal associations including over 10 years of service in committee work and Board membership. During her 15+ years of membership with the Central Florida Paralegal Association, she has been a regular presenter and coordinator of CFPA's CP Exam Review Course. She spent several years volunteering for the Orange County Bar Association paralegal section as well as over 10 years of service on the Legal Studies Advisory Boards of both Seminole State College and the University of Central Florida. She is presently engaged in the credentialing process for an adjunct position at Seminole State College where she volunteers as a mentor to legal studies students. As a US Army veteran, Ms. Hughes also volunteers with the 22UntilNone organization raising awareness of veteran suicide.
