No. North Carolina Certified Paralegal (NCCP) programs are voluntary through the North Carolina State Bar and are not required by the state of North Carolina.
North Carolina Certified Paralegals (NCCP)
6.00 hours each year, including 1.00 ethics/ professional responsibility hour.
July 1st each year
All credit hours may be taken as live or interactive programs.
IPE seeks approval from the North Carolina State Bar Board of Paralegal Certification for each program.
Paralegals are responsible for tracking and reporting their own credits. In January, you will receive a "time to recertify" email. On or before July 1st, log into the North Carolina State Bar Member Portal, complete and submit the recertification application, upload a copy of your certificate of attendance, and pay the required fees.
