Maureen Abbey Scorese is a senior attorney at law in the New Jersey Office. She earned her B.A. degree in natural sciences at The Johns Hopkins University and her J.D. degree from Temple University Beasley School of Law. Prior to law school, Ms. Scorese worked in neurosciences as a research scientist, and received a Masters of Sciences in Biomedical Chemistry from Thomas Jefferson University. While a student, she was a summer intern for the Honorable Bonnie Brigance Leadbetter (Commonwealth Court of Penna.). Upon graduation from law school, Ms. Scorese worked several years in New York and New Jersey for an intellectual property boutique law firm, and continued honing her skills in patent litigation with Heninger Garrison Davis, LLC. Prior to joining Chugh, LLP, she served as director of the Immigration Services Program at Catholic Charity, Diocese of Metuchen, where she worked on a wide variety of immigration matters including parole, humanitarian relief and family immigration matters. Ms. Scorese has experience in corporate law, intellectual property law, litigation and immigration. She is passionate about the sciences, law and social justice, and works diligently and passionately for her clients to protect their rights.
