Speaker bio
Stacy E. Thompson
is a partner in the law firm of Bluestein Thompson Sullivan, LLC in Columbia, South Carolina. She practices exclusively in the area of Social Security disability. Ms. Thompson is a sustaining member of the National Organization of Social Security Claimant's Representatives (NOSSCR) and has been a member of the NOSSCR Board representing the Fourth and D.C. circuits. She also is a member of the South Carolina Association for Justice, American Association for Justice, South Carolina Women Lawyers Association, South Carolina Bar, and the Richland County Bar Association. Ms. Thompson is chair of the Social Security Disability Section of the South Carolina Association for Justice (formerly South Carolina Trial Lawyers) and a member of the South Carolina Bar Publications Committee and Pro Bono Committee. She has been a speaker at numerous seminars regarding Social Security disability throughout the state. Ms. Thompson earned her B.A. degree from the University of South Carolina Honors College, her J.D. degree from the University of South Carolina School of Law and her Master of International Business Studies degree from the Darla Moore School of Business.
