Speaker bio
Laura Danielson
is currently the vice president of sales operations, revenue enablement and HaystackID University at HaystackID, Inc. She brings over three decades of experience and is considered an industry expert in the areas of complex litigation, specializing in consulting, best practices in litigation technology and support, ESI, data management, and trial advocacy for corporations and law firms. Ms. Danielson is a former litigation paralegal, project manager, published author, and frequent speaker/instructor. She has participated in over 100 trials in federal and state courts nationally, and has been on numerous winning trial teams, with her work focused in the areas of intellectual property, product liability, toxic tort, and complex litigation. In addition, Ms. Danielson has worked on mock trials, focus groups and arbitrations, and assisted counsel in preparation for mediations. She holds a bachelor's degree in political science and an associate degree in paralegal studies. Ms. Danielson holds the following certifications: Certified Records Manager (CRM), Project Management Professional (PMP) Six Sigma-Green Belt, and Six Sigma-White Belt. She is a member of the Project Management Institute (PMI), Association of Records Managers and Administrators (ARMA), Six Sigma, and Women in E-Discovery (WiE), where she is past board member of the national leadership team for WiE.

Jena Emory
is a senior associate with Morris, Manning & Martin, LLP's commercial, class action and production liability litigation practices. Her practice primarily focuses on insurance coverage defense. Ms. Emory has tried cases solo in Superior Court and Magistrate Court. She is an active member of the Young Lawyers Division of the State Bar of Georgia. Ms. Emory is currently an officer as co-editor of The YLD Review. She is a graduate of the 2020 YLD Leadership Academy and has written numerous articles for The YLD Review. Ms. Emory received the 2021-2022 YLD Achievement Award for Service to the Public, 2020-2021 YLD Achievement Award for Service to the Public, and the 2019-2020 YLD Achievement Award for Service to the Profession. She is also on the Editorial Board for the Georgia Bar Journal. In addition, Ms. Emory is on the Selection Committee for the Justice Robert Benham Awards for the Chief Justice's Commission on Professionalism. She graduated magna cum laude from the University of South Carolina, with a double major in economics and global supply chain and operations management with a minor in music. Ms. Emory earned her J.D. degree from the University of Georgia School of Law, where she was the submissions editor of the Georgia Journal of International and Comparative Law, as well as an author of numerous publications. After graduating from law school, she was a fellow for Judge William ("Billy") Ray, II at the Georgia Court of Appeals.

Winston West
is an attorney at Harman Claytor Corrigan & Wellman in Richmond, Virginia. He provides excellent service in employment, business, and data privacy matters. Mr. West is focused on providing insights to clients on the ever-shifting artificial intelligence regulatory and legal landscape while providing legal assistance to issues affecting clients now. He developed his skills as a litigator in the state and federal trial courts of Virginia - particularly the "Rocket Docket” in the Eastern District of Virginia. On his first day of licensure in Virginia, he defeated a motion to strike the evidence, leading to a jury deciding the case, advocated for a favorable set of jury instructions for his client, and gained a jury verdict equal to the statutory cap for such claims. Mr. West earned his B.S. degree from University of Richmond and his J.D. degree from Washington and Lee University School of Law.

Courtney Hays
is of counsel at Kiernan Trebach, where she focuses on all aspects of civil litigation, mainly within the Connecticut state and federal courts. Prior to joining Kiernan Trebach, Ms. Hays worked as a prosecutor in Florida, where she conducted nearly 30 jury trials. She previously worked for civil litigation defense firms in New York and Connecticut, where she specialized in medical malpractice defense, general liability defense, municipal matters, professional liability claims and general litigation claims. Ms. Hays earned her B.A. degree from University of South Florida and her J.D. degree from University of Connecticut Law School. She is admitted to practice in Connecticut, New York, Massachusetts and Florida, as well as the United States District Court for the District of Connecticut, Southern District of New York, and Eastern District of New York.
