Kerie S. Trindle Byrne
, PP, PLS-SC has been a legal professional for over 25 years and has worked in many different capacities in the law firm environment, including file clerk, legal secretary, office manager, administrative assistant, and paralegal. She has previously spoken on ethics and other topics at the webinar entitled, "A Paralegal's Guide to Discovery in Divorce". Through determination, hard work and on-the-job training, Ms. Trindle Byrne gained the background knowledge and skills to perform as a legal support professional. Believing education to reinforce her skills was important, she attended Phoenix College and earned her Associate of Arts Degree in paralegal studies, obtained her PP and PLS certifications from NALS, and her specialty certificate (SC) in family law from NALS. Ms. Trindle Byrne has practiced many areas of law and has worked as a family law paralegal with David N. Horowitz, Giancarlo A. Sapelli, Greg R. Davis, and Jennika N. Stith of Warner Angle Hallam Jackson & Formanek PLC for the last 18 years. She believes her communication skills, creativity, intuition and innovation make her an effective leader.

Janet L. Gemmell
is the founder and managing member of Cape Fear Family Law, with offices stretching from Durham, NC all the way to the coast in Wilmington and Jacksonville-because family drama doesn't take a vacation just because you live by the beach. She's a board-certified family law specialist who tackles the tough stuff: child custody battles, relocation disputes, dividing up everything from the good china to the questionable art collection (equitable distribution, in lawyer-speak), and sorting out alimony and spousal support. When she's not in court, you'll find her writing for publications, speaking at legal seminars, or managing her firm's YouTube Vlog-proving that even family lawyers can master social media. Ms. Gemmell is an active member of the North Carolina State Bar Family Law Section, the American Bar Association, and The Florida Bar, because networking is almost as important as knowing the law. She earned her J.D. from Campbell University's Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law-a perfectly respectable academic pedigree for someone who spends her days helping people untangle their lives.

Ms. Cernadas is a Texas board-certified paralegal in family law and holds the Advanced Certified Paralegal® designation through the National Association of Legal Assistants, with specialties in Discovery. She is recognized for her exceptional legal drafting skills, client communication, and ability to train and mentor new attorneys and legal staff. Ms. Cernadas currently serves as a family law paralegal at Goranson Bain Ausley, where she plays a key role in case development, discovery, trial preparation, and client support. Her background also includes years of experience in both permanent and contract roles with various respected family law firms. A magna cum laude graduate of the University of Texas at Arlington and Collin College, Ms. Cernadas is also an active member of numerous professional associations, including the Dallas Area Paralegal Association.
