Speaker bio
Ralph R. Smith, III
is a shareholder and co-chair of the labor and employment group of Capehart & Scatchard, P.A. He focuses his practice in employment litigation and preventative employment practices, including counseling employers on the creation of employment policies, non-compete and trade secret agreements, and training employers to avoid employment-related litigation. Mr. Smith represents both companies and individuals in related complex commercial litigation before federal state courts and administrative agencies in labor and employment cases; including race, gender, age, national origin, disability and workplace harassment and discrimination matters, wage-and-hour disputes, restrictive covenants, grievances, arbitrations, drug testing, and employment-related contract issues. He earned his B.A. degree, magna cum laude, from Temple University and his J.D. degree, cum laude, from Temple University School of Law. Mr. Smith is admitted to practice in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

Anafrancesca Y. Comunale
is senior counsel with Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani LLP's San Diego Office. She is a member of the firm's employment practice group. Prior to joining GRSM, Ms. Comunale's practice focused primarily on civil matters involving business litigation, consumer class actions, landlord/tenant disputes, compliance regulation, and intellectual property defense. Adjacent to her litigation career, she has served as a court-certified and community mediator in San Diego since 2017, mediating hundreds of cases to resolution. Ms. Comunale believes the skills she uses to guide parties through a mediation complement her in the courtroom as an advocate for employers and their companies. While in law school, she clerked for the Office of the Attorney General in the Business and Tax Division. Ms. Comunale also interned at the University of San Diego School of Law's Veterans Legal Clinic, where she drafted disability appeals and discharge upgrade requests on behalf of veterans appearing before the Board for Correction of Naval Records and the Discharge Review Board. She earned her B.A. degree from University of California San Diego, her M.B.A. degree from Creighton University and her J.D. degree from University of San Diego School of Law.

Kyra G. Bradley
is an attorney in the Voorhees, New Jersey office of Archer & Greiner, P.C. She assists employers in all aspects of labor and employment law, including issues, such as employee discipline and termination, reasonable accommodations, leave entitlements, wage and hour issues, and human resource policies and handbooks. Ms. Bradley conducts internal employment investigations on behalf of clients, makes recommendations, and prepares employer responses to administrative charges, including charges before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. She also assists in defending employers in cases alleging violations of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA), and Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), among others. Ms. Bradley earned her B.A. degree from Villanova University, her M.S. degree from the University of Pennsylvania and her J.D. degree from Villanova University.

is a partner with the Madison law firm of Gingras, Thomsen & Wachs, LLP, where he practices in employment law, civil rights, professional malpractice, personal injury, products liability and lender liability. Mr. Kinne earned his B.A. degree from the University of Wisconsin - Madison and his J.D. degree from the University of Wisconsin Law School. He is a member of the State Bar of Wisconsin, Dane County Bar Association, Wisconsin Association for Justice (chair, Civil Rights Committee) and American Bar Association.

Casey S. Erick
is a partner with Lewis Brisbois Bisgaard & Smith LLP and a member of the labor and employment practice. He focuses on commercial litigation and employment law. Mr. Erick has represented clients in both litigation and transactional matters that span across commercial law, labor and employment, real estate, consumer protection, and general litigation; including, but not limited to breach of contract, corporate trade secret theft, tortious interference, defamation, personal injury, fraud, and various other kinds of civil litigation. He is a member of the State Bar of Texas and Dallas Bar Association, and is board-certified in civil trial law. Mr. Erick earned his B.A. degree, cum laude, from the University of Mississippi and his J.D. degree from Baylor School of Law.
