Speaker bio
Jay H. Bernstein
is an attorney in the law firm of Kirsch, Stone & Morgan P.A., where he manages the workers' compensation practice specializing in motions for medical treatment and surgery, and has 30 years of successful court orders for surgery and medical treatment. Mr. Bernstein has represented thousands of injured workers throughout New Jersey and has been named by the Supreme Court of New Jersey as a certified workers' compensation attorney; a distinction held by less than 5% of attorneys throughout the state. He has testified before the New Jersey Senate Labor Committee to improve emergency access to medical care for injured New Jersey workers, and written and lobbied for access to proper medical care. Mr. Bernstein earned his B.A. degree from the University of Rochester, his J.D. degree from Syracuse University of Law and and post grad at the University of Pennsylvania. He studied at Brandies University in Israel. Mr. Bernstein has received a Commendation from the U.S. Army JAG Corps. Currently Mr. Bernstein is secretary of the Glen Rock Volunteer Ambulance Corps and rides as an EMT.

Robert R. Hanneman, Jr.
is a partner with the law firm of Weber Gallagher Simpson Stapleton Fires & Newby, LLP. He defends municipalities, manufacturers, hospitals, entertainment organizations, car dealers, grocery stores, and insurance carriers in all workers' compensation matters, from general work injuries to second injury fund trials. Mr. Hanneman is also a certified and experienced mediator. Before joining Weber Gallagher, he was responsible for managing the entire mediation system for an Ohio court. Mr. Hanneman's skills and experience in alternative dispute resolution contribute to his solution-focused, business conscious representation and strategies. He earned his B.S. degree from Rutgers University and his J.D. degree from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law at Cleveland State University.

Aaron P. Frederickson
is the founder of MSP Compliance Solutions, LLC. He has legal practice experience in the areas of workers' compensation, personal injury and Medicare compliance. Mr. Frederickson is also a health insurance professional and has been licensed to practice law in Minnesota since 2002, as well as Wisconsin since 2008. In addition to working on highly regulated matters, he has litigated countless cases and founded a compliance consulting firm, where he helped numerous individuals from diverse backgrounds across the United States. Mr. Frederickson also assists low income persons via pro bono legal representation. He earned his B.A. degree from St. Cloud State University and his J.D. degree from William Mitchell College of Law in St. Paul, Minnesota. Mr. Frederickson is an active member of the National Alliance of Medicare Set-Aside Professionals (NAMSAP) and the Hennepin County Bar Association (HCBA).

Christine Hummel
is the president and founder of Hummel Consultation Services, a national legal consultation practice specializing in the application of the Medicare Secondary Payer Act to workers' compensation, liability and no-fault cases. She is an active attorney with licensure in the state of Colorado. With more than 19 years of experience in Medicare compliance, Ms. Hummel is a published author and popular speaker on a wide array of topics related to Medicare compliance. She is a member of the American Bar Association (Health Law Section) and the Colorado Bar Association. Ms. Hummel's legal experience work includes Medicaid, probate and elder law. She donates a significant amount of time volunteering with the Federal Park Service, giving presentations on the roles of women during the American War of Independence. Ms. Hummel earned her B.S. degree from the University of Southern California and her J.D. degree from the University of Denver College of Law.

Roger L. Gilbert
is a member of the law firm of Gilbert & Fox Attorneys in Knoxville. He has been practicing law in east Tennessee for 33 years, and has represented injured people primarily in auto accident, premises liability and workers' compensation cases. Mr. Gilbert received the Association of American Trial Lawyers Top 100 Personal Injury Attorneys Award. He is admitted to practice in Tennessee and before the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Tennessee. Mr. Gilbert earned his B.A. degree at the University of South Florida at Tampa and his J.D. degree at the University of Tennessee School of Law at Knoxville.

Lola S. Richey
is a partner with the Richey and Richey Law Firm. She is a trial attorney handling workers' compensation, workplace injuries, and Social Security disability cases. Ms. Richey has extensive trial experience representing injured workers before the South Carolina Workers' Compensation Commission and the Social Security Administration. She has successfully tried numerous complex workers' compensation and Social Security disability cases to completion. Ms. Richey is a certified public accountant licensed in the state of Maryland. She earned her B.S. degree, magna cum laude, from Winthrop University in Rock Hill, South Carolina; her J.D. degree from the University of South Carolina School of Law; and her LL.M. degree from the University of Florida College of Law.
