Emily Blinzig

is an attorney at Rooney McBride & Smith, LLC, where she focuses her practice on estate planning, asset protection planning, special needs trusts, probate, trust administration, and trust litigation. She earned her B.A. degree from the University of Oklahoma and her J.D. degree from the University of Tulsa. Ms. Blinzig began her career as a trial attorney for the Missouri State Public Defender and continued in public interest law as a court appointed attorney for Juvenile Abuse and Neglect. She later transitioned to estate planning and elder law, which has been her true area of interest since law school. In addition to her practice, Ms. Blinzig also gives presentations at senior centers and other venues to educate the public about powers of attorney and their options regarding estate planning and nursing home planning. She is a member of the Missouri Bar Association, Springfield Metropolitan Bar Association and Southern Missouri Women Lawyer's Association. Ms. Blinzig is admitted to practice law in Missouri.
